It's hard to believe that November is here and in full swing. I love this time of year!! It is SOOOO beautiful! I say this as there are flash flood warnings everywhere! We are having lots of fun learning all about Thanksgiving. For the parents in the older class, ask your child to tell you about the story of Thanksgiving. It is fun to listen to them retell it! We have also been talking about miracles and the story of Moses. It's fun to listen to them give their versions of these stories. I am so proud of the progress they are making in their handwriting skills as well as so many other things. They are using great interpersonal skills as they work out their problems more and more without tattling as much. (I said as much!! They haven't totally quit!!)
I hope you are all making plans to attend the Thanksgiving feast on Monday before Thanksgiving. If you have not signed up to bring a dish, please do that. The signup sheet is outside the 2 year old classroom. Also, please let us know as soon as possible how many people are coming on this day. We usually have a big crowd, which I LOVE, so I just need to know how many to prepare for. I want everyone to plan to come and share this time with your families. I would like to ask, if possible, if your child will have more than 4 guests, if you would mind bringing more than one item. I just want to insure that we have plenty for everyone. If this is a problem, please let me know. I don't want this to prevent anyone from coming.
Also, if you have not picked up your feather for the family project, please ask us for it. I hope to have one for everyone on display for the feast.
The kids in the older class also need to send a picture of your family by Monday. I just need one, and you can decide who you consider family for the picture. This is going to be a class book that we will keep on display all year.
Just a reminder - tuition will be late after tomorrow
candle orders need to be turned in no later than tomorrow
Have a great day!!
